She will sink July 2, 1932. \u2013 ed.) <strong>95\u2019<\/strong> fishing boat will leave here shortly, with the <em>f<u>irst<\/u><strong> SHORT-WAVE RADIO TRANSMITTING SET<\/strong><\/em> to be installed on a <strong>fishing boat<\/strong> on the coast.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">  The set will be used to communicate with the amateurs in this country and Silva\u2019s \u2018<em>home office<\/em>\u2019 during a trip to explore the <strong>Allaire Bank<\/strong> (a fishing bank \u2013 ed.) 600 miles southwest of Cape San Lucas.  The boat itself will carry a pneumatic steering gear, a gas system for fire fighting, and electric drive.  She will also  have a cork-insulated hull, making it (for all intents and purposes) a <em>floating refrigerator<\/em>.  The short wave radio set will keep it in touch with shore at ALL times, the transmitting unit <em><strong>having a range of 3,000 to 8,000 miles<\/strong><\/em>.
